A Roadmap for the Future of U.S. High Energy Physics
One year ago, the National Science Foundation and the Department of
Energy charged a HEPAP subpanel with developing a long range plan for
particle physics. During the past year, the panel reviewed of the
scientific goals, recent accomplishments, and present status of the
field. It then created a roadmap for the future of U.S particle
physics. The roadmap starts with the scientific goals and lays out the
opportunities for the field, in the U.S. and abroad. A centerpiece of
the roadmap is the linear collider, a new international facility at the
energy frontier.
