Some of our chapter members braved the sub freezing temps today to fish the Little Lehigh Creek. Although ice was
forming in our rod guides, we managed to catch some fish. Water was somewhat high and off colored, but fishable. The
fish were sluggish with the cold temps (water 44 degrees), and we did struggle for a while. Towards the end of the
day we fished Wooly Buggers hard and that proved to be the most successful fly. It turned out to be a great day as we
cured some cabin fever and dusted off the cobwebs.
Warmer days are coming, along with the best hatches of the year.
See you on the next trip.
